Private Dredging
The Pocket Bunch

In September 2008, Tetra Tech completed two surveys of infrastructure conditions on the tributaries of the Pocket. The purpose of the surveys was to assist in the development of the final dredging plan for the tributaries as well as to document pre-construction conditions.

The two surveys are:

1. Laser scanning survey – Tetra Tech's survey system consists of a DGPS positioning system, synchronized with a laser scanner and high resolution digital camera. The scanner provides 3-D mapping with an accuracy of 0.1 ft. About 1,800 geo-referenced digital photos were also taken. Click here to view Report.

2. Structural inspection – Tetra Tech completed a visual inspection of waterside structures to document those that are damaged. Click here to view Report.

Martin County sent letters to all property owners on the tributaries that reported specific conditions of their water front structures.
